Admission:

Admission in MBBS & BDS course:
Admission in MBBS and BDS course in both Govt. and non-Govt. medical colleges are under the direct control of Ministry of Health and Family welfare, Government of Bangladesh. A general circular from the office of the Directorate General of Health services (Director, Medical Education & HMPD) is published in due time in the national dailies of Bangladesh for a selection examination. The examination with the same question paper is conducted centrally by the Director of Medical Education for admission in both Govt. and non-Govt. Medical colleges to fullfill the admission
procedure as per BM&DC curriculum rules. The names of the candidates who qualify in the selection examination for admission in non-Govt. medical colleges are published by Director, Medical Education & HMPD from the office of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Mohakhali, Dhaka. Principal of Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College, Enayetpur, Sirajganj invites applicants for admission in MBBS/ BDS course from the candidates of selected list of DGHS. Permission for admission is given only on the basis of the merit list published by DGHS. Other criteria for admission
as stipulated by Ministry of Health and Family welfare e.g foreign students' quota, freedom fighters quota, meritorious and poor quota are strictly followed.

Eligibility:
Eligibility criteria of admission for Bangladeshi students are set by DGHS in collaboration with BM&DC. Admission is only given to the students who are listed in the merit list of DGHS. During the admission procedure, SSC-HSC grade points (GPA), position in the merit list of DGHS including relevant documents are verified. Those who have passed "0" and ''A" level or equivalent examinations in the specified years, must collect equivalence certificate from Directorate General of Health Services before getting admission in this institute. Students from abroad also must collect equivalent certificates of their academic qualifications and grade points from the office of the DGHS before admission.

Medical Examination:
The selected candidates have to appear before a Medical Board for their physical fitness examination. Principal of Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College will form the medical examination board. A resonable amount of money will needed for medical examination.

Final list of candidates for admission:
List of finally selected candidates will be duly notified on the college notice board and our college website www.kyamc.edu.bd The selected candidates will have to get admission by the announced date and time. Otherwise, their selection will be cancelled and the place will be filled up from merit list of the waiting candidates for DGHS. During
admission, the candidate must have to produce all original documents (SSC & HSC certificate & mark sheets or equivalent certificates from the Director General of Health Services)

Conduct and Discipline:
All students are required to abide by the rules and regulations of the college. Non adherence to these rules and regulations make the students liable for disciplinary action which may range from warning to expulsion from the college. Students in KYAMC are not permitted to organize any union, association or society other those that
set up by the college authority in order to enrich their physical, intellectual, educational and moral developments.

Undertaking in a legal bond paper:
The candidates and their parents or legal guardians are required to sign a bond on non-judicial stamp paper of taka 300/- regarding the terms and conditions of study conduct and discipline. admission cancellation policy, Guarantor name (In the absence of the parents, an individual will provide financial support to the student). Admission formalities will be incomplete without submission of the bond.

Fees:
Tuition & Other Fees: The details of the fees to be paid at the time of admission may be obtained from the office of the Principal, Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College.
• Fees to be paid at the time of admission include:
o Tuition fees
o Hostel lodging
o Meal charge
o Utility Bills (water, electricity, etc.)
• Subsequent tuition fees are payable on a monthly basis. Pay Fees within 15th of each
month. Delay will be charged TK. 150/- per month.
• The total course duration is 60 months (5 years) plus one year internship.
• Students who fail to pass the professional examinations within this period must continue
paying tuition and other fees for the extended period.
• Such students must also renew their registration, ID card, library card, etc., by paying
the requisite fees.
• All fees paid are non-refundable.
• Penalties imposed by the Principal, academic council, or administrative authority for
any reasonable cause must be paid in time.
• All fees and penalties will be mentioned in the student's personal files.

Policy for Cancellation of name and hostel Seat from the College Register: 
A student's name may be removed from the college register under the following circumstances:
(a) Remaining absent from classes for more than three months without prior permission
from the college authority.
(b) Disciplinary ground, on the verdict of the Academic Council and other relevant
authority.
(c) Nonpayment of any dues over three months.
 

Readmission policy in case of temporary cancellation of name from the college register:
Re-admission would be possible upon Academic Council recommendation, with full explanation and payment of all arrear dues:
• Name removed due to non-payment, punishment, or cancellation: re-admission possible
with arrear dues (tuition & hostel fees) + Tk. 30000 (Thirty thousand) fine within 3 months.
• Absent 3-12 months: Re-admission with arrear dues (tuition & hostel fees) + Tk. 50,000 (Fifty
thousand) fine.
• Absent over 12 months to less than 2 years: Special permission needed from Academic
Council + Tk. 100,000 (One lac) fine with arrear dues (tuition & hostel fees)
• Absent more than 2 years: Needs permission from Academic Council and concerned
regulary authorities.

Admission cancellation policy:

• Voluntary withdrawal within 10 days after admission.
• Gross violation of rules such as anti-social activities evaluated by disciplinary committee.
• Absence for consecutive 2 years or more without permission.
• Any events subject to Govt. rules and regulation for admission cancellation.
• Other disciplinary actions taken by the Academic Council.
Compensation for admission cancellation:
• Admission payment (booking money) is non-refundable within 10 days of admission.
• Cancellation of admission after 10 days and before university registration:
Admission fee payable as Institutional Compensation (IC)
• Cancellation of admission after university registration:
Pay remaining course fee up to the end of course (MBBS & BDS) as Institutional
Compensation (IC)

NB: During institutional vacation studentes must follow the tenure otherwise they will be
fined TK 100 per day of absence.

Documents to be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission: The original
Documents are to be submitted and will be retained by the college authority till verification
The board is completed.

All other enclosures must be attested by a Government Class-1 Gazetted Officer:
a) Photocopy of SSC/O Level & HSC/A Level examination mark sheets/Academic
Transcript.
b) Photocopy of SSC & HSC/Equivalent examination certificate / Testimonial.
c) 5 copies of recent passport-size and color photographs.
d) Nationality/Birth certificate from the appropriate authority.
e) Admission test admit card.
f) Copy of admission test result.
g) Certificate of proof to be attached in favor of co-curricular activities.
h) School & College leaving certificate from the head of the institution.

Monthly tuition and hostel fees are payable irrespective of holidays or vacations.

If a student fails to complete the course within the scheduled time, they must continue to pay the monthly tuition fee (10,000/-) and hostel fee (2,500/-) plus food and utilities.
