Prinicipal & Head of the Department

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Cardiology at Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College & Hospital. Our department is committed to delivering comprehensive, evidence-based and compassionate cardiac care. We provide a full spectrum of services covering preventive cardiology, non-invasive diagnostics, invasive procedures, and advanced interventional cardiology. From routine cardiac evaluations to complex coronary interventions and emergency cardiac management, our team ensures that patients receive the highest standard of care with modern technology and clinical excellence. We are focused on the discovering the underlying causes and preventive strategies for various cardiovascular diseases and micro-developmental cardiac abnormalities. 

The department provides affordable health care to a huge number of patients through its Outdoor, CCU, HDU, ICU, Cath Lab & 24hours emergency facilities. The department of has gained reputations for its dynamic and innovation in the diagnosis, investigations and treatment of patients with all forms of heart diseases, both generally encountered and complex cases. We have a dedicated unit of four full-time faculties including Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor with a team of doctors, nurses and technicians trained to the highest standard in cardiac assessment. Our specialists diagnose and manage full range of cardiac conditions, and we are fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and complete range of services from cardiac investigations to interventional cardiology procedures in ultramodern Cath. Lab. Cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation program is offered to patients through our physical medicine and Rehabilitation center. 

The Department of Cardiology is also a vibrant academic center. We are proud to offer postgraduate course through the MD (Cardiology) residency program, where our residents of different disciplines receive structured, hands-on clinical and interventional training under the supervision of experienced faculty members. Our academic environment encourages research, critical thinking, and continuous professional development. In addition to cardiology residents, we actively participate in teaching and training residents and postgraduate students from other disciplines. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, academic seminars, case discussions, journal clubs, and bedside teaching, we strive to build a strong foundation of cardiovascular knowledge across specialties.   

So we look forward to advancing cardiovascular health through continues innovation and clinical excellence. Our mission is not only to treat heart disease but also to advance cardiac science, train future leaders in cardiology, and serve the community with dedication and integrity.
