Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College has come into existence in the year 2005 fulfilling the holy wish of the great saint. This academic multidisciplinary hospital of the college is a non commercial venture and is equipped in a ways which are yet to be available in other hospital in Bangladesh.
Department of Microbiology, KYAMC
I extend my warm greetings to all from the Department of Microbiology, Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College, Enayetpur, Sirajganj. The Department is involved in teaching of 3rd & 4th year medical students (2nd & 3rd phases). To provide best teachings in this field, we have experienced teaching faculties as well as tutorial classrooms, lecture theatres and well-equipped students’ practical laboratories. We make academic trainings through seminars, journal club, lectures, lab activities and small group discussions. Also, we have modern state of art diagnostic laboratories with well-equipped instruments. Our department is committed to provide best diagnostics services as well as academic activities.
The main objective of the department is to familiarizing the medical students with the etiology of microbial diseases, their pathogenesis, immunological responses involved and important clinical features that would enable them to plan and interpret necessary laboratory investigations for diagnosis, treatment and prevention. Total allocation of teaching hours for microbiology is 100 hours for lecture, 45 hours of practical and 45 hours of tutorial classes.
