Prof. Dr. A.B.M. Mahbubur Rahman is a distinguished General, Laparoscopic, and Colorectal Surgeon whose career is a testament to the pursuit of surgical perfection. Currently serving as the Professor and Head of the Department of Surgery at Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College & Hospital, his academic journey spans continents, holding prestigious fellowships including FCPS (Surgery), MRCS (England), FRCS (Glasgow), and FMAS (India).
A pioneer in minimal access surgery, Dr. Rahman has specialized training in Laparoscopic Onco-surgery and Ventral Hernia from world-class centers in Singapore, Thailand, and India. His expertise is matched by his passion for teaching; known as a "technology freak," he is celebrated by his students for his visually stunning and innovative lecture presentations. He embodies the spirit of the modern surgeon, balancing high-tech precision with the timeless wisdom of the craft.

Despite a demanding professional life, Dr. Rahman is a man of profound character and diverse interests. Known for his polite and humble demeanor, he comes from a respected family background and is a devoted husband and father to two daughters. Through his leadership and clinical excellence, Prof. Rahman continues to bridge the gap between advanced surgical technology and compassionate patient care.
