An Integrated Teaching Program on Antenatal Care (ANC) was conducted by the department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of maternal healthcare during pregnancy. Faculty members from relevant departments ( Gynae & Obstetrics, Pharmacology & Therapeutics , community Medicine and Physiology ) presented the topic from their respective disciplines, emphasizing the importance of early registration, routine antenatal check-ups, nutritional support, screening for maternal and fetal complications, immunization, and appropriate pharmacological management.
The session promoted interdisciplinary learning and highlighted the importance of coordinated care in ensuring a healthy pregnancy and improving maternal and neonatal outcomes.
