Dr. Gazi Ikhtiar Ahmed is a dedicated dental professional and academic currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Dental Public Health at Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College (KYAMC). With a strong foundation in both clinical dentistry and public health, he holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Rangpur Dental College and a Master in Public Health (MPH) from the National Institute of Preventive & Social Medicine (NIPSOM).
Dr. Ahmed’s diverse professional background includes significant roles in project management and training. Prior to his current academic position, he worked as a Project Coordinator at the Center for Injury Prevention & Research, Bangladesh (CIPRB) and served as a National Resource Person and Trainer for the NCD Program under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). His clinical experience includes serving as a Dental Surgeon at Unique Dental Clinic and completing postgraduate training in Orthodontics at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
An active researcher, Dr. Ahmed has contributed to the field through various publications in journals such as the KYAMC Journal and the Rangpur Dental College Journal. His research interests cover a broad spectrum, including medical record-keeping standards, emergency medical service management, and orthodontic patient analysis.
